Leading Indian manufacturing company Sealmatic India Ltd has officially entered the African market through a strategic partnership with Egypt’s ValueTech.
The partnership was announced by Sealmatic on Monday in a press statement obtained by Energy in Africa.
Sealmatic, renowned for its design and manufacturing of mechanical seals and associated products primarily for the oil and gas, refinery, and petrochemical industries, stated that this move will expand its footprint in Africa.
According to Sealmatic, the partnership with ValueTech aims to facilitate the sale, repair, and refurbishment of its mechanical seals in Egypt, serving customers in the oil and gas, petrochemical, power, water, desalination, chemical, and other process industries.
Through this collaboration, Sealmatic seeks to establish connections with key stakeholders in Egypt’s industrial landscape, including experts in the oil and gas and power sectors, as well as government entities like the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
Umar AK Balwa, Managing Director of Sealmatic, shared his thoughts on the partnership, saying:
“The partnership between Sealmatic and ValueTech is more than just a business collaboration; it is a gateway for Sealmatic into the African continent. With the support of ValueTech, we are confident that we will establish a strong presence in the Egyptian market and beyond.
“We have joined forces to offer our customers a service package that can be tailored to all applications while at the same time progressively expanding our joint global service presence.”
Egypt’s industrial sectors, particularly oil and gas, refinery, and petrochemicals, are experiencing rapid growth, with significant projects underway in both upstream and downstream operations. This development has attracted global attention and substantial investments.
India and Egypt share a long-standing relationship built on economic cooperation, cultural exchanges, and mutual respect. Over the years, both nations have worked consistently to strengthen their bilateral ties, creating a robust foundation for collaboration.
This strong relationship provides Indian companies like Sealmatic with an excellent opportunity to explore and thrive in the Egyptian market, the company noted.
