Oil major Shell Plc is taking a cautious approach towards fresh oil exploration plans and investment in South African nation, Namibia.


The Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) has revealed that it invested a loan facility of $300 million as part of the construction of Dangote Refinery.


Moroccoโ€™s energy ministry is intensifying efforts to attract U.S. investors for its $25 billion gas pipeline project with Nigeria, a landmark initiative aimed at connecting West Africaโ€™s vast gas resources to Morocco and European markets.




A South African court has cancelled an environmental approval granted to TotalEnergies and its joint venture partners to explore for oil off the Cape coast.


French oil major TotalEnergies is preparing to drill exploration probes near Akpo deepwater field in Nigeria, which is believed to hold up to 150 million barrels of oil reserves.


East African nation, Uganda and Tanzania have now selected with a consultant to undertake a feasibility study for their joint cross-border gas pipeline.

The first phase of the 60,000-barrel-per-day (bpd) Cabinda refinery in Angola will be commissioned in September 2025, as the government moves quickly to bridge its significant refining gap.
