TotalEnergies

Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC), in collaboration with TotalEnergies, has officially launched applications for its prestigious 2025-2026 International Masters Degree Scholarship Scheme.

This was disclosed in a circular released by TotalEnergies on Wednesday, and obtained by Energy in Africa.

According to the circular, the programme provides eligible candidates the opportunity to pursue advanced degrees in Management Science, Engineering, and Geosciences at top universities in France.

The scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, and other academic expenses, offering an experience for young Nigerians eager to elevate their careers.

The circular noted that successful candidates will gain exposure to world-class education, international industry standards, and practices—preparing them to be leaders in their respective fields.

Requirement for eligible candidates

According to the circular, eligibility requirements for applicants include:

  • Candidates must possess a university degree with at least a Second Class Upper.
  • The degree must be obtained within the last five years, and must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.

TotalEnergies explained that these criteria ensure that the scholarship attracts highly qualified, motivated individuals ready to take on global challenges.

The deadline for submission is January 31, 2025. Interested applicants are encouraged to visit the official application platform for detailed information and to apply.

NNPC and TotalEnergies have long been advocates for the development of Nigeria’s youth and the country’s workforce.

The scholarship highlights their ongoing commitment to empowering young Nigerians and investing in their education to drive national progress.

Last month, NNPC held a recruitment examination for prospective candidates for an entry-level position in the company.

According to the GCEO of the national oil company, Mele Kyari, over 45,000 Nigerians participated in the recruitment exercise, many of whom are between the age of 20 and 25.

For many Nigerians, this scholarship offers not only the opportunity to study in France but also the chance to return home with global expertise and make a significant impact on Nigeria’s development.
